Explanation

The submandibular gland is one of the salivary glands in the human body. It is located beneath the lower jaw, on each side of the mouth. This gland produces and releases saliva, which helps in digestion and keeps the mouth moist. It is the second largest salivary gland and provides around 70% of the saliva when we are at rest.
