Explanation

Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder where a person's breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. This can happen hundreds of times a night, often for a minute or longer. There are two main types: obstructive sleep apnea, the more common form that occurs when throat muscles relax, and central sleep apnea, which occurs when your brain doesn't send proper signals to the muscles that control breathing. It can lead to daytime fatigue, loud snoring, and other health problems.
