Explanation

Retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare medical condition where a fibrous, or thread-like, tissue grows in the back of the abdomen, behind the stomach and intestines. This tissue can wrap around and squeeze the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder, which can cause serious problems.
