Bradycardic

What does "Bradycardic" mean in a report or doctor's letter? In our medical dictionary, you will find a patient-friendly explanation of the meaning of this medical term.

Explanation

Bradycardic refers to a slower than normal heart rate. Normally, a healthy heart beats between 60 to 100 times per minute when at rest. If a person's heart rate is consistently below 60 beats per minute, they are considered to be bradycardic. This condition can sometimes cause problems because the heart might not be able to pump enough blood to the body.
